We Respect Your Privacy. We will protect it to the best of our ability Disaster Mitigation Services respects your privacy. We are fully committed to you and value your confidentiality. For your protection, we have an in house privacy and compliance role that is used to ensure our organization’s compliance with the criteria set out by the Privacy Act of Ontario. This includes the PIPEDA requirements for our office in service to you. PIPEDA is the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Documents Act.

Prior to us taking part in your claim we will advise you of the purpose of collecting this information. We will collect only the personal information necessary for our stated purposes, and collect it by fair and lawful means.

Information we collect may be stored on or off site of our property or on/off site of your residence/building. As a result, this information may be subject to access requests from governments, courts, or law enforcement in those jurisdictions according to provincial laws. Disaster Mitigation Services will use reasonable efforts to ensure that appropriate protections are in place to maintain the protection of your personal information.

We will strive to keep personal information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary, and protect it by applying safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of said information. Our commitment includes protecting your online privacy. This is used additionally to provide a customized personalized service experience.
